to my world on the internet. Enjoy your visit...
If the colors on this page look familiar, maybe they should be. These are the colors of my High School Alma Mater, Dora High School.
| As you can see from the background, I enjoy computers
and the experiences they can bring to our lives. This page is to let you know something
about me, but I will must keep some secrets to protect the guilty. The world greeted a new life in May 1943. Since then the world has changed greatly. We have seen the world at war (just barely), television, atomic bombs, jet planes, computers, and too many other things to try to mention here. The future is moving very fast toward us and we hope to be able to live many more years to enjoy the things which are coming down the road. I am married (very happily) for more than 38 years, We have two children (a son and a daughter) and have 2 grandchildren. We also have several dogs and cats and several birds. My family and I live in a small town in Northwest Alabama, about 35 miles from Birmingham, Alabama. I grew up here and can remember the declining years of coal mining in this area. I attended school here, and went to nearby colleges after high school. For several years I worked Huntsville, Alabama (home of the rocket and aerospace industry) helping to test and develop many of the vehicles which carried man to the moon. From there, I returned home and worked in the steel mills for a couple of years. I went to Alabama Power Co. where I spent most of my working life. I worked in Operations, Maintenance, Fuels, and Engineering and Planning. I retired in 1996 as an Information Systems Analyst. I worked for a while as a Security Officer (Supervisor) at the facility from which I retired. I am presently working as a supervisor for IH Services at Gorgas Steam Plant I have seen computers developed from the earliest to the latest, and try to keep up to date on most of the developments, but it is almost impossible to keep up now. I can build and repair most PC's (Please - no MACs or Apples) and am proficient with most Microsoft products and operating systems. I could go on but just wait and see, the best is yet to be! |
